English is not threatening us

The fact that English is a universal language is absolutely true. Nowadays, English is used everywhere around the globe. In Malaysia, English is also being used widely whether in institutional sector, government service, entertainment and many more. As we are taking English as our major studies, it is obvious that we love English very much. For us, English is an interesting language to be learned. However, we believe that language should be used in its original and authentic case and not by mixing of other languages into its vocabulary. English should not be using Malay vocabulary and the same goes for Malay language. Malay language should maintains its authenticity and uniqueness by using the original vocabulary as often as possible. Only when it comes to certain circumstances, for example, scientific terms then only it can borrow English words. We are in deep concern of our own precious native language and we will try our best to preserve its authenticity here. Therefore, what lies ahead in this blog will be focusing on the issue of lexical borrowing and how to save Malay language from this type of language pollution.
